I LOVE making peanut sauces. I use it for stir-fries, marinades, and dipping sauces. Whenever we go out to eat, both Michael and I tend to stick with the peanut flavored dishes at Asian restaurants. It's just so good! I've been making this sauce recently. I made just a few slight alterations, but overall this recipe is awesome. This is now my go-to recipe.
Ingredients:
1c. natural chunky peanut butter
1/3 c. coconut milk, warmed
2 tbsp. lime juice
2 tbsp. Bragg's liquid amino acids
1 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. dried ginger
dash cayenne
cilantro, for sprinkling
Instructions:
- Using a fork or whisk, break down your peanut butter using your warmed coconut milk. Keep stirring! It'll take a few minutes.
- Stir in rest of ingredients until mixed.
- Sprinkle dried or fresh cilantro, on top, before serving.
Mmm, so good.
You can pair just about anything with a good peanut sauce! I like your take on it- The coconut would add a nice subtle sweetness, I can imagine.
